Key advantages
Recall needs a Copilot+ PC with a 40 TOPS NPU — hardware most Windows users don't have. MyHandler runs on ordinary Windows 10 and 11 machines, today.
Recall keeps a rolling archive of screen images and OCRs them, by default. MyHandler reads the text — primarily through Windows accessibility APIs, and through a momentary on-device snapshot it discards where a window won't expose its text — and keeps no image archive; saving screenshots is an opt-in you control, encrypted on your own disk if you enable it. Password fields are skipped at capture time, and excluded apps and private browsing are respected either way.
Recall gives you search and a timeline. MyHandler lets you ask questions across everything — screen, meetings, documents, email, calendar — and briefs you proactively before meetings and every morning.
Recall records no audio and indexes nothing it didn't see on screen. MyHandler transcribes meetings on-device, indexes your document folders, and connects your email, calendars, and chat channels into one private memory.
